However, it was the current COVID 19 crisis that really changed our working life. What used to progress rather hesitantly and was still an exception for many is now the rule: home office.

For a long time, battery-powered and solar-powered luminaires were regarded as nice gadgets in the lighting industry - but for professional use, they were rarely used. The reason: inadequate lighting and runtime performance. In the meantime, however, this is no longer the case. Battery-operated and solar-powered luminaires for outdoor use are convincing all along the line and score points with unique extras - from convenient charging functions via mobile phones, tablets or power banks to an automatic twilight function and an integrated motion detector.

With the BECKS, the small town of Pfullingen in Baden-Württemberg has had a new gastronomic highlight since 2016, combining classic Italian cuisine with grilled dishes and modern interpretations of Swabian classics. In the premises of the former "Treppenhaus", the owners Renate Beck and Ivica Marovic designed a versatile restaurant concept, which welcomes guests to lunch and dinner, brunch and buffet as well as to the dignified bar area in the individual rooms which merge into one another. For planning and implementing the elaborate lighting in the BECKS, the company responsible, SH-Lichttechnik, relied on the versatile lighting and profile portfolio of Deko-Light.
